Vibrating Body Center Feeder

VBC stands for Vibrating Body Center feeder.  It is used in those applications where the material feed is already in line with the central axis of the screen machine line.  The distribution pan inside the feeder then spreads the material out in both directions to evenly feed the product across the full width of the screen machine’s wire cloth, making most efficient use of the screening surface area.  There are two versions of this feeder, the vibrating body and the static body type.

In the Vibrating Body type, the feeder body is designed as a solid piece with the distribution pan rigidly fixed into the structure of the body.  The design has been analyzed to fully transmit the force of the vibrator motors while eliminating fatigue points.  The feeder is mounted on four of J&H’s proprietary support buffers that maximizes the amplitude and efficiency of the feeder body vibration.  The feed box of the screen machine is designed to support the feeder buffers and provide for the flexible feeder discharge bellows.

The Vibrating Body feeder has the advantage of simplicity.  The vibrator motors rigidly mount onto the outside of the feeder housing and the entire feeder body is vibrated.  There are no internal “moving” parts to worry about.  All maintenance items are on the exterior of the feeder.  However, access doors permit viewing of material flow and permit periodic maintenance on the inside.

The VBC is an valuable addition to the expanding line of J&H Feeders/Distributors.
